Earn and Redeem Points

Cardmembers will earn 1 Point for every $1 spent in eligible Net Purchases.

Furthermore, you will earn additional Points for the following Net Purchases:
- You will earn 2 additional Points (3 points total) for every $1 spent in eligible Net Purchases according to your selected category:
Day to day expense providers, including shipping, advertising, utilities, office supply, telecom and professional services businesses. OR
Automotive goods and services providers, including gas, service and electric vehicle charging stations, tire shops, car dealerships, car wash facilities, toll gates and car repair establishments. OR
Travel providers, including airline, hotel, car rental, restaurant and travel agencies.
Excluding gas station, electric vehicle charging station and grocery purchases made at wholesale clubs and discount stores/supercenters such as Target and Walmart.
- You will earn 4 additional Points (5 points total) for every $1 spent in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations purchased in the Rewards Travel Center using your rewards credit card instead of Points. Prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Center are not classified as a travel category merchant transaction and are not eligible to receive the additional Points for that category. Please allow 6-10 weeks for points to be credited to your account.

Rewards are earned on eligible net purchases. Net Purchases are purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are considered to be Purchases and eligible to earn rewards, such as transactions posting as Convenience Checks; Balance Transfers; Advances (including ATM withdrawals, wire transfers, traveler's checks, money orders, foreign cash transactions, betting transactions, and lottery tickets); interest charges and fees; credit insurance premiums; and transactions to (i) fund certain prepaid card products, (ii) buy currency from the U.S. Mint, or (iii) buy cash convertible items. Please refer to your Cardmember Agreement for additional information. Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) to earn and redeem rewards and benefits. Subject to applicable law, you may not redeem rewards, and you will immediately lose all of your rewards if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death). Each merchant’s business is identified by a category code. A Purchase will not earn additional rewards if the category code applied to a merchant is in a category that is not eligible for additional rewards earning. We do not determine the category codes applied to merchants’ businesses and reserve the right to determine which Purchases qualify for additional rewards. 

Once you have earned enough points for a reward, redeeming is simple. You can use this website to turn your points into rewards with just a few clicks of your mouse. You can also phone the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864 and a Rewards Service Advisor will assist with your redemption.

Our online redemption center is convenient and easy to use: it’s open 24 hours a day, so you can check your point total and request a reward when you have the time. You can shop for a reward, choose from the available options and make redemptions all without leaving your computer.

There are no award travel redemption fees charged when redeeming for air travel e-tickets online through the Rewards Center. If you book travel by phone a $35 Travel Advisor Consultation fee will be charged per award ticket. You will be advised of the fee when booking. Airlines may impose additional fees that are not included in your award ticket, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage and changing your ticket.

It’s easy to redeem your reward points toward merchandise, statement credit, deposit to a qualifying U.S. Bank account, gift cards and travel or redeem instantly with Real-Time Rewards. Point values and redemption minimums may vary over time, and will be disclosed upon redemption.

Maximum Point value applies to Points redeemed for a deposit into an eligible U.S. Bank Account. The redemption value may be different if you choose to redeem your Points for other rewards such as travel, merchandise, gift cards, and/or statement credit. Other restrictions apply. Establishment or ownership of a U.S. Bank Account or other relationship with U.S. Bank is not required to obtain a card or to be eligible to use Points to obtain any rewards offered under the program. Minimum redemption amounts may vary and are subject to change without notice.

With the U.S. Bank Business Select Rewards Card program, there is no limit to the points you may earn.

Any points that you earn will remain in your account until the end of the calendar quarter, until 11:00 p.m. Central Time, that is 5 years from the date on which they were earned. For example, if you earned 500 points in May 2012 and didn’t redeem the points for a reward, these points will remain in your account until the end of June 2017. Redeemed and expired points will be based on first-in, first-out process.

Your account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) according to your Cardmember Agreement in order to redeem points. Subject to applicable law, any remaining Rewards Points will be lost when an account is closed.

Once you have earned enough points for a reward log into the rewards site. Select Cash Back and enter the required information. Points will be deducted from your reward account and you will receive a statement credit within 8-10 weeks of your redemption. You can also phone the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864 and Rewards Service Advisor will assist you.

 

When you make a purchase on a prepaid hotel or car reservation with your rewards credit card through the Rewards Travel Center (online/by phone), you will earn 4 bonus points, in addition to the base earn, per each $1 in Net Purchases.

Bonus points are deposited into the reward account after payment has been processed for a prepaid hotel and/or car reservation. In the Rewards Center under point history, you will see the bonus points that have been awarded. Please allow 6-10 weeks for points to be credited to your account. 

You will earn 4 additional bonus points over the base earn of your rewards credit card. Bonus points are earned at the component (car or hotel) level and are not calculated based off order total. 

For example: Mrs. Ford contacted the Reward Center to reserve a car for holiday travel. She prepaid $100.00 for the car rental using her rewards credit card. An example of her base point earn for each $1 spent in eligible net purchases is 1 point. Therefore, she would be awarded 100 ($100 x 1) points for base earn + 400 ($100 x 4) bonus points for a total of 500 points.

All redemptions are final. However, if your item is damaged, defective, or mis-shipped, please refer to the terms and conditions on the product’s item detail page within the Rewards Center or on the packing slip you received with the item(s).

Event Tickets

No. Currently the only way you can redeem for event tickets is to log in to your Reward Account at usbank.com then visit the Rewards Center. Click the link for “event tickets” from the navigational menu. 

You can redeem for sports, concert and theater events across North America.

No, you will not be able to cancel your order. All redemptions are final.

Real-Time Rewards

It’s a new rewards method that enables you to instantly redeem points when you make a credit card purchase. Your mobile device can be used to immediately redeem points in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. 

First, complete a 2-minute registration to set your preferences. Then, after you make a purchase that meets your preferences, and receive a text asking if you want to use points to redeem immediately after the purchase, simply reply ‘REDEEM’ to the message to complete the redemption. Your points will be deducted from your points balance and redeemed in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. See Program Rules for additional details.

Yes, you may assign a 10-digit U.S. mobile number to your accounts in good standing (not past due or overlimit). 

No. You may only assign one 10-digit U.S. mobile number per account.

The text message is sent at the time of the qualifying purchase. You have 24 hours from the time the purchase is made to respond to the text message and redeem points.

Most gas and restaurant purchases are not available for Real-Time redemption because they are often two-stage authorization processes. For instance, restaurant purchases often have a tip after the initial authorization.

The 4 additional bonus points offer excludes real-time rewards point redemption on hotel and car purchases. You must pay for the prepaid hotel and/or car rental with your rewards credit card.

Our online travel Rewards Center provides better value than what we are able to deliver via Real-Time Rewards, so we encourage you to redeem points for plane tickets and hotel stays at the Rewards Center. 

No, Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants.

You may receive a Real-Time Rewards text message for an auto bill pay transaction if the purchase falls within your preference selections. 

The statement credit may be different from your final purchase amount if the transaction included a gratuity, fees or estimated taxes. 

You can opt-out at any time by going online to the Rewards Center or by texting ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) or by calling the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. After you opt-out, you may still receive text messages for up to 24 hours. Please see Program Rules for additional details.

Yes, you will receive messages based on the preferences you select and the purchases made with all of the employee business cards.
