Rewards Program
Participation in the Rewards Program (“Program”) is restricted to U.S. residents who are 18 or more years old (“Cardmember”, “you”, and “your”) in whose name U.S. Bank National Association (“U.S. Bank”, “we”, “us” and “our”) maintains a U.S. Bank Business Shield™ Visa® Card account (an “Account”). These “Program Rules” describe how you earn and may redeem “Cash Rewards” earned in the Program and how you may earn a $50 statement credit on an annual basis.
Program Participation
Subject to these Program Rules, you may redeem Cash Rewards earned in the Program for any of these rewards options:
• A deposit into a U.S. Bank® savings, checking or money market account*;
• Cash back in the form of a statement credit to your Account;
• A Rewards Card;
• Charitable contributions; and
• Real-Time Rewards.
Program administrative services are provided by third party vendors
To participate in the Program, your Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement. We may alter, change, or terminate the Program at any time without advance notice. In addition, we may close the Account and Program if you violate any of these terms and conditions or the terms of the Cardmember Agreement. Determination and payment of tax liability is the sole responsibility of the Cardmember. The Program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
Unless otherwise selected at the time of original application for credit, Cash Rewards will be pooled to one Cash Rewards balance at the Business level. The individual who executed the application for credit will have the sole authority to redeem the pooled Cash Rewards. If the Cash Rewards balance changes from pooled to individual, any unredeemed Cash Rewards will stay pooled and will not transfer to the individual Cash Rewards balance.
Earning Cash Rewards
You may earn Cash Rewards for Net Purchases on prepaid airfare, car rentals, attractions and hotel reservations made via the Purchase Travel Link in the Rewards Center (“Purchased Travel”) accessed via usbank.com, the U.S. Bank mobile app or calling 888-229-8864. "Net Purchases" are determined by totaling all new Purchases of Purchased Travel made via the Rewards Center charged to the Account during a billing cycle, then subtracting for credits and/or cancellations for Purchased Travel posted to the Account during the same billing cycle.
You will earn 5% Cash Rewards for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases on Purchased Travel made via the Travel Center. Your 5% Cash Rewards will appear on your statement as “5% Bonus: Purchased Travel”. Cash Rewards earned can also be viewed within the Rewards Center via usbank.com and the U.S. Bank mobile app, or by calling the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. Your Account must be open and in good standing on the closing date for the billing cycle in order to earn Cash Rewards. We reserve the right to adjust or reverse the number of Cash Rewards that were awarded, or Cash Rewards potentially eligible for redemption, for unauthorized Purchases.
All Purchased Travel reservations must be booked online through the online Purchase Travel Link in the Rewards Center available at usbank.com or the U.S. Bank mobile app or by calling the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. Travel reservations can be issued in any individual’s name, but travel must be purchased by an authorized Cardmember on the Account. U.S. Bank and our third party vendor(s) shall not be liable for any bodily and/or property damage that may result from the use of Purchased Travel, or the performance by the travel providers (e.g., airlines, hotels, etc.).
Your purchase for travel constitutes your agreement to the terms and conditions of our third party vendor(s). If you book travel through the Travel Center, please refer to additional terms and conditions provided in the online booking process. If you book airfare travel by phone, a $39 Travel Advisor Consultation fee will be charged per passenger, and please refer to additional terms and conditions provided on your travel itinerary. There are no additional booking fees for tickets booked online. Blackout dates may apply. Airlines, car rental agencies, attractions and hotels may impose additional fees that are not included in your ticket or reservation, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage, insurance, and changing your ticket or reservation.
Cash Rewards are considered earned when posted to the redemption system. Accounts will be updated monthly. Cash Rewards may take 1-2 statement billing cycles to be posted following a qualifying purchase. Cash Rewards cannot be earned until a rewards account has been assigned. No retroactive credit will be given for prior purchases. Cash Rewards cannot be used in conjunction with other frequency or reward programs.
$50 Statement Credit
In addition to earning Cash Rewards, you may also earn a $50 statement credit annually, as described here. In order to be eligible to receive an annual $50 statement credit, you must use your U.S. Bank Business Shield™ Visa® Card to make at least $5,000 in total qualified Purchased Travel that is posted to your Account within each 12-month period using the Purchase Travel Link in the Rewards Center. The annual period starts on the date the Account is opened and starts over on the anniversary of your Account opening date. The date that a transaction is made may not be the same date that a transaction posts to your account, and we cannot control when a merchant submits a transaction to be posted to your Account. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for your $50 statement credit to appear on your credit card statement. The Account must be open in order to receive the credit. We reserve the right to adjust or reverse any portion or all of any travel statement credit for unauthorized purchases or transaction credits.
Redeeming Cash Rewards
The complete range of Cash Rewards redemption options as described in these Program Rules is available when Cardmembers visit the Rewards Center at usbank.com, visit the U.S. Bank mobile app, or call 888-229-8864. U.S. Bank and/or third party vendors may change or terminate participating merchants; withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any rewards; or increase the number of reward dollars required for a Cash Reward at any time without advance notice, even though such changes may affect the accrual or value of rewards.
Your Account must be open and in good standing on the closing date for the billing cycle in order to redeem Cash Rewards. All Cash Reward redemptions are final. Cash Rewards cannot be used as payment for obligations owed to U.S. Bank or its affiliates, except as allowed for the Account. There are no refunds, exchanges, replacements or conversions for currency, credit, or rewards for unused portions or rewards, unless otherwise noted.
Subject to applicable law, you may not redeem Cash Rewards, and you will immediately lose all of your Cash Rewards, if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death) or you do not have any reward, purchase, or balance activity on your Account for 12 consecutive statement cycles. We reserve the right to verify and adjust Cash Rewards at any time before or after posting any redemption. Cash Rewards may be redeemed as cash back for a statement credit to your Account; for a deposit into a U.S. Bank® savings, checking or money market account; for a Rewards Card; for charitable contributions; and for Real-Time Rewards.
*Maximum Cash Rewards value applies to cash back redeemed as a deposit into an eligible U.S. Bank account. The redemption value may be different if you choose to redeem your Cash Rewards for other rewards. Establishment or ownership of a U.S. Bank account or other relationship with U.S. Bank is not required to obtain a Card or to be eligible to use Cash Rewards to obtain rewards offered under the Program. Minimum redemption amounts may vary and are subject to change without notice.

Cash Rewards as an Account Deposit or Statement Credit
You may redeem Cash Rewards as a deposit to an eligible account at U.S. Bank (most checking and savings accounts and some money market accounts) or in the form of a statement credit. Cash Reward redemptions are deducted from the Cash Rewards balance when the Cash Reward redemption is requested by a Cardmember.
Account Deposit
Account deposit redemptions may be issued via an electronic ACH deposit only to your U.S. Bank® savings, checking or money market accounts. Redemptions to an eligible U.S. Bank® account will be applied within 7 business days of your redemption request. You may be presented with eligible U.S. Bank accounts to select from, or you may be requested to enter your U.S. Bank account information. If entering account information, you must enter an accurate account number for your U.S. Bank® savings, checking or money market account for your Cash Reward redemption to be processed correctly. Routing numbers entered for a Cash Reward redemption are checked against the routing number directory maintained by the Federal Reserve. If you have entered your routing number correctly and it is not accepted by the Rewards Center, please contact your financial institution to verify the number. If your routing number still is not accepted, please call the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. U.S. Bank is not responsible for incorrectly entered banking information.
Statement Credit
Statement credits are issued via a credit to your Account by accessing the online Rewards Center via usbank.com and the U.S. Bank mobile app, or by calling the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. A credit will be applied to your Account within 1-2 statement billing cycles. Cash Rewards redeemed for a statement credit to your Account will reduce the Account balance but will not count toward your minimum payment due.
Visa-Branded Prepaid Rewards Cards
You may redeem Cash Rewards for U.S. Bank Rewards Visa® Cards (“Rewards Cards”). You may choose to receive your Rewards Cards by mail (a “Plastic Rewards Card”) or, if available, email (a “Digital Rewards Card”). Rewards Cards will be personalized with the primary Cardmember’s name and cannot be exchanged or refunded. Rewards Cards cannot be reloaded with additional funds, nor can they be used at an ATM – no cash access. At the time of the Rewards Cards redemption, your rewards dollar balance will be reduced by the number of rewards dollars used to obtain the reward(s). Additional information on each Rewards Card option is below.
Additional terms and conditions will be provided with Rewards Card issuance and are subject to change at U.S. Bank’s sole discretion, if permitted by law. Please see the Rewards Card website for additional terms and conditions. Rewards Cards are issued by U.S. Bank National Association.
Plastic Rewards Card
Plastic Rewards Cards will be mailed to the billing address on file. U.S. Bank will issue Plastic Rewards Cards within 15 business days of your request. Plastic Rewards Cards lost in mail will be replaced at no cost to the Cardmember if mailed to the correct address provided at the time of redemption. Plastic Rewards Cards can be used at any merchant that accepts Visa debit cards.
Digital Rewards Card
Digital Rewards Cards (if available) can only be used online or via phone for domestic transactions with merchants that accept Visa debit cards. Some merchant transactions, even if you and/or the merchant are located in the United States, District of Columbia or a U.S. territory, are considered foreign transactions under the applicable Visa rules, and you may not be able to use your Digital Rewards Card with those merchants. We do not control how these merchants are classified for this purpose. Digital Rewards Cards are emailed to the Cardmember’s provided email address. In the event that the email is not received, you may call 877-528-6413 to have the email re-sent. Mechanical reproductions, copies or facsimiles of Digital Rewards Cards will not be accepted.
Charitable Contributions
From time to time, you may have the opportunity in the Rewards Center to redeem Cash Rewards earned in the Program toward a monetary contribution to an available named charity. U.S. Bank will match each monetary charitable contribution at 100% (no cap). The available charities may vary. Cash Rewards redemptions toward monetary charitable contributions may not be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor to determine if your redemption towards a charitable contribution is tax deductible.
Real-Time Rewards
With Real-Time Rewards, you may instantly redeem Cash Rewards for your credit card Purchases via text messaging. The Cash Rewards redemption comes in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. Cash Rewards will be deducted from your balance and a credit for the Purchase amount will be applied to your Account billing statement when you request redemption. For transactions which include a gratuity, fees, or estimated taxes, the statement credit may not equal your final Purchase amount. Automatically billed transactions will be part of Real-Time Rewards text messages if the Purchase falls within your preference selections. Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants. You may sign up for Real-Time Rewards using your 10-digit U.S. mobile number. Only one mobile number may be used per Account. If any changes are made to your Account that will affect the Card number, Account ownership or your rewards program, you will need to re-enroll in Real-Time Rewards. Message and data rates may apply. The short code REDEEM (733336) is used by Real-Time Rewards to send redemption requests. Message frequency is based upon the preferences you select and the Purchases you make on your Account. Text ‘HELP’ to REDEEM (733336) for Help. Text ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) to cancel your participation in Real-Time Rewards. All cancellations completed via text message will remove that mobile number from all accounts registered for Real-Time Rewards. You will not receive Real-Time Rewards text messages until you confirm your enrollment and preferences. You will receive a Real-Time Rewards request text message if your credit card Purchase falls within the criteria you have set up in your Real-Time Rewards preferences. You must have enough Cash Rewards to cover the entire Purchase in order to receive a text message to redeem. Merchants who accept Visa cards are assigned a merchant code based on the kinds of products and services they sell. U.S. Bank does not control how Purchases are processed by merchants or the merchant codes they use; therefore, U.S. Bank cannot guarantee that a specific transaction will qualify. You may redeem by replying ‘REDEEM’ within 24 hours of when the message was sent. You may only redeem the most recent Real-Time Rewards text message. Upon confirmation of a redemption request, Cash Rewards will be deducted from your balance immediately, and a credit to your statement will be processed within 3 business days and will appear on your next billing statement. The Account statement credit for a Real-Time Rewards redemption will reduce the Account balance but will not count toward the minimum payment due. All redemptions are final. If you return the item or service that you redeemed Cash Rewards for to the merchant, the Cash Rewards will not be reinstated, but you may receive a credit to your Account (in accordance with the merchant’s return policy).
Limitation of Liability
In addition to other disclaimers set forth in these Program Rules, third party vendors and U.S. Bank make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the goods or services offered by any participating merchant; and shall not be liable for any loss, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience that may arise in the connection with the use of such rewards, or as a result of any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors and U.S. Bank specifically disclaim any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors and U.S. Bank specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Program Changes
We reserve the right to change or cancel the U.S. Bank Business Shield™ Visa® Card Rewards Program and these Program Rules at any time, with or without notice to you. The most current and complete Program Rules are available in the Rewards Center through usbank.com or the U.S. Bank mobile app or by calling the Cardmember Service number located on the back of your card. To the extent that any reward program information in other materials conflict with the Program Rules in the Rewards Center, the Program Rules in the Rewards Center will control.
