Rewards Program
Participation in the Card Program (“Program”) is restricted to U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older (“Cardmember”, “you”, and “your”) and in whose name U.S. Bank National Association (“Issuer”, “U.S. Bank”, “we”, “us” and “our”) maintains a U.S Bank Business Credit Card Account (an “Account”). Cash back in the form of an ACH deposit to an eligible account, a statement credit, a rewards card, and other benefits offered from time to time, are the “rewards” you may obtain by redeeming the cash rewards you have earned in the Program. Additional terms and conditions for the Program can be found in the Cardmember Agreement provided to you when your Account was opened and the card was received. Program administrative services are provided third party vendors.
Program Participation
You may cancel Program membership at any time you notify us of cancellation. Your Program membership will automatically be renewed as long as your Account is open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement. We may alter, change, or terminate the Program at any time without advance notice. We may also disqualify Cardmembers who have violated any of these terms and conditions or the terms of their Cardmember Agreement with us. Determination and payment of tax liability is the sole responsibility of the Cardmember. The Program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
Earning Cash Back Rewards
Cardmembers will earn three percent (3%) cash back for every $1 spent in eligible Net Purchases at restaurants/restaurant delivery, office supply stores, cell phone service providers, and gas and electric vehicle charging stations excluding wholesale clubs and discount stores/supercenters such as Target and Walmart. All other Net Purchases may earn 1% cash back. Purchases of gasoline or electric vehicle charging greater than $200 will not be deemed to be a purchase of automotive fuel and as such will earn a reward of 1%.
Furthermore, you will earn additional cash back for the following Net Purchases:
- You will earn 4% additional cash back (for total of 5%) for every $1 spent in eligible net purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Travel Center using your rewards credit card. Please allow 6-10 weeks for your cash back to be credited to your account.
An automatic statement credit of $100 per 12-month period will be applied to your Account within 6-10 weeks following 11 consecutive months of eligible software service purchases made directly with a software service provider. Eligible software service providers are identified by their Merchant Category Code (MCC) and purchases made at discount/retail stores or online retailers may not qualify. We reserve the right to adjust or reverse any portion or all of any software services credit for unauthorized purchases or transaction credits.
Rewards are earned on eligible net purchases. Net Purchases are purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are considered to be Purchases and eligible to earn rewards, such as transactions posting as Convenience Checks; Balance Transfers; Advances (including ATM withdrawals, wire transfers, traveler's checks, money orders, foreign cash transactions, betting transactions, and lottery tickets); interest charges and fees; credit insurance premiums; and transactions to (i) fund certain prepaid card products, (ii) buy currency from the U.S. Mint, or (iii) buy cash convertible items. Please refer to your Cardmember Agreement for additional information. Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) to earn and redeem rewards and benefits. Subject to applicable law, you may not redeem rewards, and you will immediately lose all of your rewards if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death). Each merchant’s business is identified by a category code. A Purchase will not earn additional rewards if the category code applied to a merchant is in a category that is not eligible for additional rewards earning. We do not determine the category codes applied to merchants’ businesses and reserve the right to determine which Purchases qualify for additional rewards.
Cash back is considered earned when it is posted to the redemption system. Accounts will be updated monthly. Cash back may take up to 60 days to be posted following a qualifying purchase. Cash back cannot be earned until an Account has been assigned. No retroactive credit will be given for prior purchases. Cash back cannot be used in conjunction with other frequency or reward programs.
Cash Back Rewards cannot be used as payment for obligations owed to U.S. Bank or its affiliates. Exception: Cardmembers can choose to redeem their earned Cash Back Rewards for statement credit to be applied to their Account by accessing the Rewards Center. The statement credit will reduce the Account balance but does not count as a payment and thus does not reduce the minimum payment due. All redemptions are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, replacements or conversions for currency, credit, other cash back or rewards for no-shows or unused portions or rewards, unless otherwise noted. Determination and payment of tax liability, if any, is the sole responsibility of the Cardmember.
Unless otherwise chosen at the time of original application for credit, Cash Back Rewards will be pooled to one Cash Back Rewards balance at the Business level. The individual who executed the application for credit will have the sole authority to redeem the pooled Cash Back Rewards. If the Cash Back balance changes from pooled to individual, any unredeemed Cash Back Rewards will stay pooled and will not transfer to the individual Cash Back Rewards balance.
Redeeming Cash Back Rewards
The complete range of Cash Back Rewards redemption options is available when Cardmembers call 888-229-8864 or visit the Rewards Center at usbank.com. U.S. Bank and/or third party vendors may change or terminate participating merchants, withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any rewards or increase the number of reward dollars required for a cash reward at any time without advance notice, even though such changes may affect the accrual or value of rewards. Reward redemption is subject to availability based upon Cardmember’s Account mailing address.
The amount of Rewards that may accumulate for your Account is unlimited. Cash Rewards will expire if there is no reward, purchase, or balance activity on your account for 12 consecutive statement cycles.

Charitable Contributions
From time to time you may have the opportunity on the Rewards Center to redeem Points earned in the Program toward a monetary contribution to a named charity. U.S. Bank will match each monetary charitable contribution at 100% (no cap). The named charity may vary. Point redemptions toward monetary charitable contributions may not be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor to determine if your redemption towards a charitable contribution is tax deductible.
Cash Back as a Statement Credit or Account Deposit
Statement credits are issued via a credit to your Account by accessing the Rewards Center at usbank.com. A credit will be applied to your Account within 6-8 weeks. Cash Back Reward dollars redeemed for a statement credit will reduce the account balance, but will not count toward your minimum payment due.
You can choose to redeem Cash Back Rewards in the form of a statement credit to your Account or as an ACH deposit to a U.S. Bank checking, savings account or money market account. Cash Back Reward redemptions are deducted from the total Cash Back Reward balance when the reward redemption is requested by a Cardmember.
Account deposit redemptions may be issued via an electronic ACH deposit to your U.S. Bank Savings, Checking or Money Market accounts by accessing the Rewards Center at usbank.com. Account deposit redemptions may not be deposited to an international account. Redemptions to a checking or savings account will be applied within 7 business days of your redemption request.
You must enter an accurate routing number for the financial institution associated with your Account and an accurate account number for your Cash Back Reward redemption to be processed correctly. Routing numbers entered for a Cash Back Reward redemption are checked against the routing number directory maintained by the Federal Reserve. If you have entered your routing number correctly and it is not accepted by the Rewards Center, please contact your financial institution to verify the number. If your routing number still is not accepted, please call the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. U.S. Bank is not responsible for incorrectly entered banking information.
U.S. Bank Rewards Visa® Card
You may redeem Cash Back Rewards in the Program for U.S. Bank Rewards Visa® Cards (“Rewards Cards”). At the time of the Rewards Cards redemption, your rewards dollar balance will be reduced by the number of rewards dollars used to obtain the reward(s). There is no limit to the number of Rewards Cards that can be redeemed subject to Reward availability. You may choose to receive your Rewards Cards by mail (a “Plastic Rewards Card”) or email (a “Digital Rewards Card”).
Rewards Cards are valid through the expiration date or “valid thru” date shown on the Plastic Rewards Card or displayed on the Digital Rewards Card image you receive after claiming your card or until the value on your Rewards Card reaches zero, except where prohibited or modified by applicable law. Rewards Cards are no longer usable after the last day of the month of the “valid thru” date unless you obtain a replacement Rewards Card. When the Rewards Card expires it will be closed and any unused balance will be handled according to applicable law. U.S. Bank may revoke the Rewards Card at any time without cause or notice. You may not sell your Rewards Card and U.S. Bank is not liable for the revocation of funds on Rewards Cards that have been sold or transferred by you. Lost, stolen or destroyed Rewards Cards will not be reissued or replaced unless the Rewards Card number is available, subject to terms provided with the Rewards Card. Reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that the Rewards Card is delivered in a timely manner. Additional terms and conditions will be provided with Rewards Card issuance and are subject to change at U.S. Bank’s sole discretion, if permitted by law. Please see the Rewards Card website for additional terms and conditions. Rewards Cards are issued by U.S. Bank National Association.
Plastic Rewards Card
Plastic Rewards Cards will be mailed to the billing address on file; if an alternate address (including an APO/FPO/PO Box) is requested, the redemption must be made through the Rewards Center by phone. U.S. Bank will use its best reasonable efforts to issue Plastic Rewards Cards within 7-10 business days of your request. Plastic Rewards Cards lost in mail will be replaced at no cost to the Cardmember if mailed to the correct address provided at the time of redemption. Plastic Rewards Cards will be personalized with the primary Cardmember’s name and cannot be exchanged or refunded. Plastic Rewards Cards can be used at any merchant that accepts Visa debit cards. Plastic Rewards Cards cannot be reloaded with additional funds, nor can they be used at an ATM – no cash access.
Digital Rewards Card
Digital Rewards Cards can only be redeemed online or via phone for domestic transactions with merchants that accept Visa debit cards. Some merchant transactions, even if you and/or the merchant are located in the United States, District of Columbia or a U.S. territory, are considered foreign transactions under the applicable Visa rules, and you may not be able to use your Digital Rewards Card with those merchants. We do not control how these merchants are classified for this purpose. Digital Rewards Cards are emailed to the Cardmember’s provided email address. Digital Rewards Cards cannot be exchanged or refunded. Digital Rewards Cards are not reloadable and cannot transfer card value to another payment device. Digital Rewards Cards cannot be used to perform banking services, obtain cash at ATMs or from merchants that may have otherwise agreed to provide cash back at point-of-sale. Mechanical reproductions, copies or facsimiles of Digital Rewards Cards will not be accepted.
Real-Time Rewards
With Real-Time Rewards, you may instantly redeem Cash Back for your credit card Purchases via text messaging. The Cash Back Rewards redemption comes in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. Cash Back Rewards will be deducted from your Cash Back Rewards balance and a credit for the Purchase amount will be applied to your Account billing statement when you request redemption. For transactions which include a gratuity, fees, or estimated taxes, the statement credit may not equal your final Purchase amount. Auto bill pay transactions will be part of Real-Time Rewards text messages if the Purchase falls within your preference selections. Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants. You may sign up for Real-Time Rewards using your 10-digit U.S. mobile number. Only one mobile number may be used per credit card account. If any changes are made to your Account that will affect the card number, account ownership or your rewards program, you will need to re-enroll in Real-Time Rewards. Message and data rates may apply. The short code REDEEM (733336) is used by Real-Time Rewards to send redemption requests. Message frequency is based upon the preferences you select and the Purchases you make on your Account. Text ‘HELP’ to REDEEM (733336) for Help. Text ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) to cancel your participation in Real-Time Rewards. All cancellations completed via text message will remove that mobile number from all accounts registered for Real-Time Rewards. You will not receive Real-Time Rewards text messages until you confirm your enrollment and preferences. You will receive a Real-Time Rewards request text message if your credit card Purchase falls within the criteria you have set up in your Real-Time Rewards preferences. You must have enough cash rewards to cover the entire purchase in order to receive the text message to redeem. Merchants who accept Visa and Mastercard cards are assigned a merchant code based on the kinds of products and services they sell. U.S. Bank does not control how Purchases are processed by merchants or the merchant codes they use; therefore, U.S. Bank cannot guarantee that a specific transaction will qualify. Your Account must remain in good standing in order to redeem. You may redeem by replying ‘REDEEM’ within 24 hours of when the message was sent. You may only redeem the most recent Real-Time Rewards text message. Upon confirmation of a redemption request, Cash Back Rewards will be deducted from your Cash Back Rewards balance immediately, and a credit to your statement will be processed within three business days and will appear on your next billing statement. The Account statement credit for a Real-Time Rewards redemption will reduce the Account balance, but will not count toward the minimum payment due. All redemptions are final. If you return the item or service that you redeemed Cash Back Rewards for to the merchant, the Cash Back Rewards will not be reinstated, but you may receive a credit to your credit card account (in accordance with the merchant’s return policy).
Travel Rewards
You may purchase travel with your rewards card through the Rewards Travel Center and earn an additional 4% cash back above base earn for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid hotel and car reservations. *All travel reservations must be booked online through the Rewards Center at usbank.com or by phone at 888-229-8864. Travel reservations can be issued in any individual’s name, but travel must be purchased by an authorized Cardmember on the Account. U.S. Bank and our third party vendor(s) shall not be liable for any bodily and/or property damage that may result from your use of travel rewards, or the performance by the travel providers (e.g., airlines, hotels, etc.).
Your purchase for travel constitutes your agreement to the terms and conditions of our third party vendor(s). If you book travel through the Rewards Center at usbank.com, please refer to additional terms and conditions provided in the online booking process. If you book Air travel by phone, a $39 Travel Advisor Consultation fee will be charged per airline ticket, and please refer to additional terms and conditions provided on your travel itinerary. The fee will appear as a purchase listed as “RTI*TravelCenter” on the following month’s billing statement. There will continue to be no additional booking fees for award tickets booked online.
Airlines may impose additional fees that are not included in your award ticket, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage and changing your ticket.
As a reminder:
- You will earn 4% additional cash back (for total of 5%) for every $1 spent in eligible net purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Travel Center using your rewards credit card. Please allow 6-10 weeks for your cash back to be credited to your account.
Purchased hotel and car transactions will appear on your credit card statement as RTI*TravelCenter*.
The additional 4% cash back will appear on your cash rewards earning statement and in your cash rewards history in the Rewards Center as “4% BONUS: PURCHASE TRAVEL.”
If cancellation is permitted and you cancel a hotel or car rental reservation for which you have earned an additional 4% cash back, the additional 4% cash back will be reversed.
If cash rewards and cash are used for payment when there is more than one type of travel reservation in the cart, cash rewards will be split equally across the components of the reservation. The cash portion of the payment will be applied to any remaining balance(s). The additional 4% cash back will be calculated on the cash portion of the eligible hotel and car components.
Limitation of Liability
In addition to other disclaimers set forth in these Program Rules, third party vendors and U.S. Bank make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the goods or services offered by any participating merchant; and shall not be liable for any loss, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience that may arise in the connection with the use of such rewards, or as a result of any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors specifically disclaim any defect in or failure of such rewards. Third party vendors specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
