Earn and Redeem Cash Rewards

Cardmembers will earn three percent (3%) cash back for every $1 spent in eligible Net Purchases at restaurants/restaurant delivery, office supply stores, cell phone service providers, and gas and electric vehicle charging stations excluding wholesale clubs and discount stores/supercenters such as Target and Walmart. All other Net Purchases may earn 1% cash back. Purchases of gasoline or electric vehicle charging greater than $200 will not be deemed to be a purchase of automotive fuel and as such will earn a reward of 1%.

Furthermore, you will earn additional cash back for the following Net Purchases:
- You will earn 4% additional cash back (for total of 5%) for every $1 spent in eligible net purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Travel Center using your rewards credit card. Please allow 6-10 weeks for your cash back to be credited to your account.

An automatic statement credit of $100 per 12-month period will be applied to your Account within 6-10 weeks following 11 consecutive months of eligible software service purchases made directly with a software service provider. Eligible software service providers are identified by their Merchant Category Code (MCC) and purchases made at discount/retail stores or online retailers may not qualify. We reserve the right to adjust or reverse any portion or all of any software services credit for unauthorized purchases or transaction credits.

Rewards are earned on eligible net purchases. Net Purchases are purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are considered to be Purchases and eligible to earn rewards, such as transactions posting as Convenience Checks; Balance Transfers; Advances (including ATM withdrawals, wire transfers, traveler's checks, money orders, foreign cash transactions, betting transactions, and lottery tickets); interest charges and fees; credit insurance premiums; and transactions to (i) fund certain prepaid card products, (ii) buy currency from the U.S. Mint, or (iii) buy cash convertible items. Please refer to your Cardmember Agreement for additional information. Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) to earn and redeem rewards and benefits. Subject to applicable law, you may not redeem rewards, and you will immediately lose all of your rewards if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death). Each merchant’s business is identified by a category code. A Purchase will not earn additional rewards if the category code applied to a merchant is in a category that is not eligible for additional rewards earning. We do not determine the category codes applied to merchants’ businesses and reserve the right to determine which Purchases qualify for additional rewards.

With the Rewards program, the amount of cash back you can earn is unlimited.

It’s easy to redeem your reward cash back towards a statement credit, deposit to a qualifying U.S. Bank account, a U.S. Bank Rewards Card, or redeem instantly with Real-Time Rewards.

Maximum Cash Rewards value applies to Cash Rewards redeemed for a statement credit or deposit into an eligible U.S. Bank Account. The redemption value may be different if you choose to redeem your Cash Rewards for other rewards such as a U.S. Bank Rewards Card. Other restrictions apply. Establishment or ownership of a U.S. Bank Account or other relationship with U.S. Bank is not required to obtain a card or to be eligible to use Cash Rewards to obtain any rewards offered under the program. Minimum redemption amounts may vary and are subject to change without notice.

Once you have earned enough cash back, redeeming is simple. You can use this website to turn your cash back into rewards with just a few clicks of your mouse. You can also phone the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864 and a Rewards Service Advisor will assist with your redemption.

Our online redemption center is convenient and easy to use: it’s open 24 hours a day, so you can check your cash back total and request a reward when you have the time. You can shop for a reward, choose from the available options and make redemptions all without leaving your computer.

Redeeming your cash rewards for a statement credit does not count as a payment and thus will not reduce your minimum payment. Your redemption will reduce your account balance, however.

Redeem Cash Rewards right away or save them for later. Cash Rewards do not expire as long as the account remains active.

Cash Rewards will expire if there is no reward, purchase, or balance activity on your account for 12 consecutive statement cycles. 

Your account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) in order to redeem cash rewards. Subject to applicable law, any remaining Rewards Points will be lost when an account is closed.

When you make a purchase on a prepaid hotel or car reservation with your rewards credit card through the Rewards Travel Center (online/by phone), you will earn an additional 4% cash back, in addition to the base earn, per each $1 in Net Purchases.

Cash back is deposited into the reward account after payment has been processed for a prepaid hotel and/or car reservation. In the Rewards Center under point history, you will see the additional cash back that has been awarded. Please allow 6-10 weeks for your cash back to be credited to your account.

You will earn 4% more cash back over the base earn of your rewards credit card. Additional cash back is earned at the component (car or hotel) level and are not calculated based off order total.

For example: Mrs. Ford contacted the Reward Center to reserve a car for holiday travel. She prepaid $100.00 for the car rental using her rewards credit card. An example of her base earn for each $1 spent in eligible net purchases is 1%. Therefore, she would be awarded $1 in cash back ($100 x .01) for base earn + $4 ($100 x .04) additional cash back for a total of $5 cash back.

Real-Time Rewards

A rewards redemption method that enables you to instantly turn your purchases into rewards. Your mobile device can be used to immediately redeem cash rewards in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. 

First, complete a 2-minute enrollment to set your preferences. Then, after you make a purchase that meets your preferences, and receive a text asking if you want to use rewards to redeem immediately after the purchase, simply reply ‘REDEEM’ to the message to complete the redemption. You must have enough cash rewards to cover the entire purchase in order to receive the text message to redeem. Your cash rewards will be deducted from your cash rewards balance and redeemed in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. See Program Rules for additional details. 

Yes, you may assign a 10-digit U.S. mobile number to your accounts in good standing (not past due or overlimit). 

No. You may only assign one 10-digit U.S. mobile number per account. 

The text message is sent at the time of the eligible purchase. You have 24 hours from the time the purchase is made to respond to the text message and redeem cash rewards. 

Most gas and restaurant purchases are not available for Real-Time redemption because they are often two-stage authorization processes. For instance, restaurant purchases often have a tip after the initial authorization.

The 4% additional cash back bonus offer excludes real-time rewards point redemption on hotel and car purchases. You must pay for the prepaid hotel and/or car rental with your rewards credit card.

No, Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants.

You may receive a Real-Time Rewards text message for an auto bill pay transaction if the purchase falls within your preference selections.

The statement credit may be different from your final purchase amount if the transaction included a gratuity, fees or estimated taxes. 

You can opt-out at any time by going online to the Rewards Center or by texting ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) or by calling the Rewards Center at 844-357-2015. After you opt-out, you may still receive text messages for up to 24 hours. Please see Program Rules for additional details.
