Earn and Redeem FlexPoints

As a U.S. Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature® Cardmember, you will earn one (1) FlexPoint for every $1 on eligible Net Purchases (purchases minus credits and returns) charged to your account during each billing cycle that your account is open and current according to your Cardmember Agreement.

In addition, you will earn additional FlexPoints for the following Net Purchases:

(1) You will earn four (4) additional FlexPoints for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases spent on prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Travel Center using your rewards credit card instead of Points. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for your bonus Points to appear on your credit card statement.

(2) Additional FlexPoints may be awarded for purchases at merchants classified as: airlines, gas stations/electric vehicle charging stations or grocery stores (each, a “Category”). You will earn one (1) additional FlexPoint for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases in the one Category in any given billing cycle that has the highest total of eligible Net Purchases charged to your Account (the “Highest Category").

(3) You will earn one (1) additional FlexPoint for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases during the current month’s billing cycle for any cellular services provider merchant.

(4) You will earn one (1) additional FlexPoint for every $1 in eligible Net Purchases during each billing cycle for any merchant location that classifies itself as a Charitable and Social Service Organization.

Merchants identify their business by selecting a merchant category code established by Visa. A Purchase will not earn additional FlexPoints if the merchant’s selected code is in a category that is not eligible for additional FlexPoints earning. We do not determine the category codes that merchants choose and reserve the right to determine which Purchases qualify for additional FlexPoints. Purchases at discount/retail stores that sell groceries may not qualify for the grocery store category.

Enjoy a variety of exciting rewards including airline award tickets, hotel stays, merchandise, gift cards, event tickets, statement credits or a deposit into your U.S. Bank checking or savings account. For a complete list of rewards, go to usbank.com, log into your account, then visit the Rewards Center to view, manage, and redeem your FlexPoints.

Once you have earned enough FlexPoints for a reward, redeeming is simple. You can use the Rewards Center to turn your FlexPoints into rewards with just a few clicks of your mouse. You may also redeem over the phone by calling 888-229-8864 and a Rewards Service Advisor will assist you with your redemption.

If you book air travel online a $6.99 redemption fee will be charged per domestic ticket. A $10.99 redemption fee will be charged per international ticket. For phone reservations, a $39 Travel Advisor Consultation fee will be charged per award ticket. Airlines may impose additional fees that are not included in your award ticket, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage and changing your ticket. 

There are no blackout dates, seating or zone restrictions when redeeming your FlexPoints for an award ticket.

Yes, you will be able to redeem your FlexPoints for award ticket travel on more than 150 airlines, including major airlines such as American, Delta and United. There are no blackout dates or capacity controls, so you can fly when you want.

Yes. Any FlexPoints that you earn will remain in your account until the end of the calendar quarter, until 11:00 p.m. Central Time, that is 5 years from the date on which they were earned. For example, if you earned 500 FlexPoints in May 2016 and didn’t redeem the FlexPoints for a reward, these FlexPoints will remain in your account until 11 p.m. Central Time on June 30, 2021. Redeemed and expired points will be based on first-in, first-out process.

Your FlexPerks rewards card account must be open and in good standing according to your Cardmember Agreement in order to redeem FlexPoints. Subject to applicable law, any remaining points will be lost when an account is closed. Please call Cardmember Service at 877-978-7446 for inquiries about reopening a FlexPerks Rewards card account.

When you make a purchase on a prepaid hotel or car reservation with your rewards credit card through the Rewards Travel Center (online/by phone), you will earn 4 bonus FlexPoints, in addition to the base earn, per each $1 in Net Purchases. 

Bonus FlexPoints are deposited into the reward account after payment has been processed for a prepaid hotel and/or car reservation. In the Rewards Center under point history, you will see the bonus FlexPoints that have been awarded. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for your bonus FlexPoints to appear on your credit card statement.

You will earn four (4) additional FlexPoints over the base earn of your rewards credit card. Bonus points are earned at the component (car or hotel) level and are not calculated based off order total.

For example: Mrs. Ford contacted the Reward Center to reserve a car for holiday travel. She prepaid $100.00 for the car rental using her rewards credit card. An example of her base FlexPoint earn for each $1 spent in eligible net purchases is 1 FlexPoint. Therefore, she would be awarded 100 ($100 x 1) FlexPoints for base earn + 400 ($100 x 4) bonus FlexPoints for a total of 500 FlexPoints.

Airline Allowance

Cardmembers are eligible to receive an airline allowance statement credit up to $25 per round-trip airline award travel ticket for award travel flights redeemed using FlexPoints. You must redeem a minimum of 10,000 FlexPoints per round-trip airline award ticket in order to be eligible for the $25 airline allowance. Qualifying Purchases made through the airline carrier includes checked baggage fees, on-board food or beverage purchases and airline lounge memberships. If you purchase airfare from an airline and use Real Time Mobile Rewards to pay for the airfare, you will not be eligible to receive the $25 Airline Allowance benefit that is available with this Account. The $25 Airline Allowance is only available for travel rewards FlexPoints redemption made through the Rewards Center online or by phone.

Simply make a Qualifying Purchase with your FlexPerks Travel Rewards Card on your award travel flight dates. After the Qualifying Purchase posts to your account, contact Cardmember Service at 877-978-7446, and we will credit your FlexPerks account for the Qualifying Purchase, up to the allowance amount (may take 4-6 weeks to appear on statements). You have 90 days from your award travel date to request the airline allowance credit. If you purchase airfare from an airline and use Real Time Mobile Rewards to pay for the airfare, you will not be eligible to receive the $25 Airline Allowance benefit that is available with this Account. The $25 Airline Allowance is only available for travel rewards FlexPoints redemption made through the Rewards Center online or by phone. 

Yes, your FlexPoints will be combined if you and your friend/family member share the same FlexPoints Rewards number, which can be found on your credit card statement or in the “Profile Information” section in the Rewards Center. Your combined FlexPoints will be available for redemption in the FlexPerks Rewards Center. If you would like to share the same FlexPoints number, please contact Cardmember Service at 877-978-7446.

Transfer FlexPoints

Yes. FlexPoints transfer is simply moving FlexPoints from one FlexPerks rewards account to another FlexPerks rewards account, if available. Doing so allows you to combine FlexPoints with friends or family members in order to redeem sooner. You can also transfer FlexPoints to another FlexPerks Rewards account you own if your FlexPerks accounts have different FlexPoints numbers.

You can find your FlexPoints number on your Account Summary page within the FlexPerks Rewards Center or on your credit card statement.

If you would like to use the same FlexPoints number on all of your FlexPerks Rewards accounts, please contact Cardmember Service at 877-978-7446.

Yes, as long as your FlexPerks Rewards account is in good standing according to your Cardmember Agreement you can transfer up to 20,000 FlexPoints per calendar year to other FlexPerks rewards accounts. You can transfer to a family member, a friend or to another FlexPerks Rewards account you own.

No. FlexPerks Rewards does not charge a fee to transfer FlexPoints.

Yes. You must have the FlexPoints Rewards number you wish to transfer points to. You can transfer up to 20,000 FlexPoints per calendar year.

Yes. Your oldest FlexPoints will be transferred first and will retain their original expiration date, which is five years from the end of the quarter in which they were earned.

No. Your FlexPoints cannot be combined or transferred to frequent flyer programs.

Annual Fee

If you are eligible to redeem FlexPoints for your Annual Fee the redemption option will display in the Rewards Center on the Home Page. Click on the link and follow the redemption steps.

If you redeem FlexPoints for this redemption option more than 3 business days before your Annual Membership Fee is billed, a credit in the amount of the Annual Membership Fee will be applied on the next business day after the fee is billed on your statement. If you redeem after that, a credit in the amount of the Annual Membership Fee will be applied 7-10 business days after the date of redemption.

Merchandise

You can track your package by clicking on the tracking number link provided on our profile page under “Delivery method” or you can call the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864.

All redemptions are final. However, if your item is damaged, defective, or mis-shipped, please refer to the terms and conditions on the product’s item detail page within the Rewards Center or on the packing slip you received with the item(s).

Event Tickets

No. Currently the only way you can redeem for event tickets is to log in to your Reward Account at usbank.com then visit the Rewards Center. Click the link for “event tickets” from the navigational menu. 

You can redeem for sports, concert and theater events across North America. 

No, you will not be able to cancel your order. All redemptions are final.

Real-Time Rewards

It’s a rewards redemption method that enables you to instantly turn your purchases into rewards. Your mobile device can be used to immediately redeem FlexPoints in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. 

In the Rewards Center click on “Card Benefits” in the top Navigation Bar, then click “Enroll” and follow the steps to complete enrollment.

First, complete a 2-minute registration to set your preferences. Then, after you make a purchase that meets your preferences, and receive a text asking if you want to use FlexPoints to redeem immediately after the purchase, simply reply ‘REDEEM’ to the message to complete the redemption. You must have enough FlexPoints to cover the entire purchase in order to receive the text message to redeem. Your FlexPoints will be deducted from your FlexPoints balance and redeemed in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. See Program Rules for additional details.

Yes, you may assign a 10-digit U.S. mobile number to your accounts in good standing.

No. You may only assign one 10-digit U.S. mobile number per account. 

The text message is sent at the time of the qualifying purchase. You have 24 hours from the time the purchase is made to respond to the text message and redeem FlexPoints.

Most gas and restaurant purchases are not available for Real-Time redemption because they are often two-stage authorization processes. For instance, restaurant purchases often have a tip after the initial authorization.

The four (4) additional points offer excludes Real-Time Rewards point redemption on hotel and car purchases. You must pay for the prepaid hotel and/or car rental with your rewards credit card.

No, Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants.

You may receive a Real-Time Rewards text message for an auto bill pay transaction if the purchase falls within your preference selections. 

The statement credit may be different from your final purchase amount if the transaction included a gratuity, fees or estimated taxes.

You can opt-out at any time by going online to the Rewards Center, or by texting ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) or by calling the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. After you opt-out, you may still receive text messages for up to 24 hours. Please see Program Rules for additional details.

The one-time 500 bonus FlexPoints will be applied to your account within 8-10 weeks after you have completed your enrollment for Real-Time Rewards.

You are eligible to receive the one-time 500 bonus FlexPoints for each FlexPerks Visa card account enrolled in Real-Time Rewards. 

No. You will only receive messages for purchases made on your account. However, any redemption made will reduce the overall combined FlexPoints total.

Point Purchase

Yes. You can call the Rewards Center to purchase additional FlexPoints for $0.03 for each FlexPoint. The minimum purchase amount required is 3,000 FlexPoints and the maximum number of FlexPoints you may purchase in a calendar year is 60,000.
