Rewards Program
Participation in the Prime Business World Elite Mastercard® Rewards program and Amazon Business World Elite Mastercard® Rewards programs (each, the “Program”) is restricted to those individuals in whose name U.S. Bank maintains a Prime Business World Elite Mastercard® card account or Amazon Business World Elite Mastercard® card account that is accessed by one or more Cards. These “Program Rules” describe how Rewards may be earned and redeemed in this Program. The amount of Rewards that will be awarded will vary depending upon whether the Business Owner has an Amazon Prime membership, as described below.
As used in these Program Rules:
- “Account” means the small business credit card account that was opened by U.S. Bank for the Business Owner, which is either the Prime Business World Elite Mastercard® credit card account or the Amazon Business World Elite Mastercard® credit card account.
- “Business Owner” means the individual who applied for the Account or who otherwise agreed to be liable for Account and whose status as a Prime member determines which Account is held by Cardmembers.
- “Card” means the credit card issued for the Account.
- “Cardmember”, “you”, and “your” means the individuals who hold a Card.
- “Cardmember Agreement” means the agreement between you and U.S. Bank related to the Account.
- “Rewards” are earned by Cardmembers for use of the Card and Account under the terms of the Program. Rewards are earned as a percentage of Net Purchases and issued in the form of points.
- “U.S. Bank”, “we”, “us” and “our” means U.S. Bank National Association.
Capitalized terms that are not defined in the Program Rules are defined in the Cardmember Agreement.
Program Participation
Subject to these Program Rules, the Business Owner may redeem Rewards earned in the Program for the following Rewards options:
- Statement Credit
- Amazon Shop With Points
To participate in the Program, your Account must be open and in good standing (not past due or overlimit) under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement. We may alter, change, or terminate the Program at any time with or without notice to you. In addition, we may close the Account and Program if you violate any of these terms and conditions or the terms of their Cardmember Agreement. Determination and payment of tax liability is the sole responsibility of the Cardmember. The Program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
Earning Rewards
If the Business Owner has an Amazon Prime membership and has the Prime Business Card, you will earn the following “Rewards”:
- 5% for every $1 in Net Purchases on the first $150,000 of all Net Purchases made at Amazon-covered Sites by all Cardmembers each calendar year, thereafter you will earn 1%;
- 5% for every $1 in Net Purchases spent on prepaid travel in the U.S. Bank Travel Center using your Card;
- 2% for every $1 in Net Purchases on the first $150,000 spent each calendar year on the top 3 categories (the “Top Categories”). Top Categories are determined based on category code each billing cycle based on the combined spend of all Cardmembers. After reaching the $150,000 cap you will earn 1% on the Top Categories starting in the next billing cycle until the next calendar year; and
- 1% for every $1 spent on all other Net Purchases.
If the Business Owner does not have an Amazon Prime membership and has the Amazon Business Card, you will earn:
- 3% for every $1 in Net Purchases on the first $150,000 of Net Purchase made at Amazon-covered Sites by all Cardmembers each calendar year, thereafter you will earn 1%;
- 3% for every $1 in Net Purchases spent on prepaid travel in the U.S. Bank Travel Center using your Card;
As used in these Program Rules, “Amazon-covered Sites” means Amazon.com, Amazon Business, Whole Foods Market, and Amazon Web Services. Purchases made at Amazon sites that operate outside of the United States are not covered sites and therefore not eligible for accelerated Rewards.
To make prepaid air, car, and hotel reservations, you may access the Rewards Center by logging in at usbank.com or the U.S. Bank mobile app or by calling 888-229-8864.
As used in these Program Rules, “Top Categories” include Accounting & Tax Services, Advertising & Direct Marketing, Airlines, Car Rental, Cell Phone Providers, Computer & Software Services, Dining, Drug Stores & Pharmacies, Entertainment (includes most cinemas, theme parks, concert venues, professional sport venues, and qualifying ticket sellers), Gas & EV Stations, Grocery Stores, Hotel, Office Supply Stores, Postal & Shipping Services, Utilities. These Top Categories may change in the future without notice.
Each merchant’s business is identified by a category code established by Mastercard. We do not determine the category codes applied to merchants’ businesses and reserve the right to determine which Purchases are in the Top Categories and qualify for additional Rewards. Purchases made through a third-party payment account or on an online marketplace (with multiple retailers), excluding Amazon-covered Sites, will not earn additional Rewards. In addition, a Purchase may not earn additional Rewards if the merchant submits the Purchase using a mobile or wireless card reader.
"Net Purchases" are Purchases minus credits and returns. Net Purchases for a statement period are determined by totaling all new Purchases charged to the Account during the billing cycle, then subtracting credits posted to the Account during the billing cycle for returned Purchases and/or adjustments. If credits during a statement period exceed Purchases, the credit balance will be carried over to the following billing cycles and offset against future Purchases charged to the Account for purposes of awarding Rewards. We may round Net Purchases up or down to a whole dollar amount for purposes of determining and awarding Rewards. We reserve the right to adjust or reverse the number of Rewards that were awarded for unauthorized Purchases. We reserve the right to amend or cancel the Rewards program or change the Rewards benefits at any time with or without notice to you.
Not all transactions are considered to be Purchases and eligible to earn Rewards, such as transactions posting as Convenience Checks; Balance Transfers; Advances (including ATM withdrawals, wire transfers, traveler's checks, money orders, foreign cash transactions, betting transactions, and lottery tickets); interest charges and fees; credit insurance premiums; and transactions to (i) fund certain prepaid card products, (ii) buy currency from the U.S. Mint, or (iii) buy cash convertible items.
No retroactive credits will be given for prior Purchases. Rewards from different accounts may not be combined. Rewards cannot be used in conjunction with other frequency or reward programs.
You may be offered the opportunity to earn bonus Rewards at any time after you open this Account. If you are offered a bonus Rewards promotion, you must follow all the requirements outlined in your offer materials (such as spend amount and timing requirements). In most cases, you should allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for bonus Rewards to appear on your Account statement.
Rewards/ExtendPay Plan Options
When you use your Card for Net Purchases at certain eligible Amazon covered sites, you may have the option at the time of checkout to either (1) earn Rewards on your Purchase, or (2) create a U.S. Bank ExtendPay® plan for your Purchase. ExtendPay plans allow you to pay for the designated Purchase interest-free over a period of time as part of your monthly payment due on your Account. See your Cardmember Agreement for more information.
If you choose to create an ExtendPay plan at the checkout, you will not earn Rewards for that Purchase. The options for the length of your ExtendPay plan and applicable monthly payment amount are made available at checkout. ExtendPay plans at the checkout may not be available for Purchases from Whole Foods Market and Amazon-branded physical store locations. When an ExtendPay Plan is not offered, you will earn Rewards for the Purchase.
If you create an ExtendPay plan at the checkout, you will not pay ExtendPay fees. If you chose not to create an ExtendPay plan at the checkout, you may create an ExtendPay plan at a later date, as allowed by U.S. Bank, and ExtendPay fees will apply. U.S. Bank is responsible for the creation of and administration of ExtendPay plans. Any unpaid balance remaining on an ExtendPay Plan after the chosen pay-back period will be subject to the APR and minimum payment calculation for Purchases outlined in the Cardmember Agreement.
Loss of Rewards
Subject to applicable law, you may not redeem Rewards, and you will immediately lose all of your Rewards, if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, due to Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death) or if the Account is not in good standing under the terms of your Cardmember Agreement.
Redeeming Rewards
All Rewards earned by Cards on the Account will be pooled to the Business Owner’s Reward account. The Business Owner has the sole authority to redeem Rewards. The Business Owner may redeem Rewards for a statement credit to the Account or for Purchases in the Shop with Points program, as described below. The minimum amount of Rewards needed for each Reward redemption is available when the Business Owner visits Rewards Center at usbank.com, visits the U.S. Bank mobile app, or call 888-229-8864. U.S. Bank may add, change or terminate participating merchants; withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any Rewards; or increase the number of Rewards required for any Reward redemption at any time without advance notice, even though such changes may affect the accrual or value of Rewards. Minimum redemption amounts may vary based on the type of redemption and are subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply. Rewards are considered fully redeemed when a confirmation number is issued and Rewards are deducted from your balance. Establishment or ownership of a U.S. Bank account or other relationship with U.S. Bank is not required to be eligible to use Rewards to obtain any Rewards offered under the Program.
Your Account must be open and in good standing in order to redeem Rewards. Except as allowed in these Program Rules, Rewards are not transferable, are not redeemable for cash and cannot be used as payment for obligations owed to U.S. Bank or its affiliates. There are no refunds, exchanges, replacements or conversions for currency, credits, other Rewards or Rewards for no-shows or unused portions or Rewards, unless otherwise noted. We reserve the right to verify and adjust Rewards at any time before or after posting any redemption.
Redemption Options
Rewards as a Statement Credit
You may redeem Rewards in the form of a statement credit to your Account. Rewards redemptions are deducted from the Rewards balance when the Reward redemption is requested by the Business Owner. Statement credits are issued via a credit to your Account by accessing the online Rewards Center available at usbank.com or the U.S. Bank mobile app, or by calling the Rewards Center at 888-229-8864. A credit will be applied to the Account within 1-2 statement billing cycles. Rewards redeemed for a statement credit to the Account will reduce the Account balance but will not count toward your minimum payment due.
Amazon Shop With Points
You may redeem Rewards through Amazon’s Shop With Points (“SWP”) program. Your Card must be saved in your Amazon account and enrolled in SWP to redeem Rewards through SWP. The SWP program allows you to redeem Rewards at the checkout for Purchases made on Amazon.com and Amazon Business. Your participation in the SWP program is subject to the “SWP Terms and Conditions” found at https://www.amazon.com/b?node=212366899011. Certain products listed on Amazon.com and Amazon Business are not eligible for Purchase using Rewards, and these items may change at any time. For a list of ineligible products, please see the SWP help page found in the SWP Terms and Conditions. Following enrollment in SWP, during the checkout process for Purchases of eligible items on Amazon.com and Amazon Business, you will be presented with the number of your available Rewards and the total value of such Rewards that you can apply towards the total cost (including taxes and shipping, as applicable) of the items being Purchased. The redemption value of Rewards through SWP is subject to change from time to time at the discretion of U.S. Bank, subject to applicable law. Your available Rewards may be used to pay for all or a portion of your eligible Purchases on Amazon.com and Amazon Business. If you pay for only a portion of an eligible Purchase using Rewards, then the balance must be paid using your Card or an Amazon Gift Card. U.S. Bank will adjust your Rewards balance at the time of Purchase. Rewards may not be combined with points or cash or other rewards earned from other rewards programs, or with other credit or debit cards, to make Purchases using SWP. Returns are subject to Amazon’s returns policy, which is described in the SWP Terms and Conditions. As related to SWP, in the event that there is a difference in terms between these Program Rules and the SWP Terms and Conditions, the SWP Terms and Conditions will control.
