Earn and Redeem Points

As a U.S. Bank Altitude cardmember, you will earn 1 Point for every $1 spent on eligible net purchases (net purchases are purchases minus credits and returns) made with your account during each billing cycle that your account is open and in good standing (not past due) according to your Cardmember Agreement. Purchases qualify for Points based on how merchants choose to classify their business and we reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify.


In addition, you will earn Points for the following Net Purchases:

(1)  You will earn 4 Points (5 Points total) for every $1 on prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Travel Center using your U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Card instead of Points. Prepaid car and hotel reservations in the Rewards Center are not classified as a travel category merchant transaction and are not eligible to receive the additional points for that category. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for your bonus Points to appear on your credit card statement.  

(2) You will earn 2 Points (3 Points total) for every $1 on mobile wallet transactions. For this benefit, “mobile wallet” means Apple Pay®, Google Wallet, and Samsung Pay. Unlike Google Wallet, Google Pay may not qualify as a mobile wallet and earn additional Points, depending on how the transaction is completed. We cannot control how mobile wallet transactions are designated and reserve the right to determine which Purchases qualify for additional Points.

(3) You will earn 2 Points (3 Points total) for every $1 on travel category purchases (such as purchases made directly with airlines, hotels, car rentals, taxicabs, limousines, passenger trains and cruise line companies).

The U.S. Bank Altitude account offers a variety of exciting rewards including travel options, merchandise, gift cards, event tickets, statement credits or a deposit into your U.S. Bank checking or savings account. For a complete list of rewards, log into your account at usbank.com, then visit the Rewards Center to view, manage, and redeem your points.

Once you have earned enough points for a reward, redeeming is simple. You can use the Rewards Center to turn your points into rewards with just a few clicks of your mouse. You may also redeem over the phone by calling 844-357-2015 and a Rewards Service Advisor will assist you with your redemption.

There are no award travel redemption fees charged when redeeming for air travel e-tickets online through the Rewards Center or over the phone with a Rewards Service Advisor by calling 844-357-2015. You will be advised of the fee when booking. Airlines may impose additional fees that are not included in your award ticket, including but not limited to fees for seating, luggage and changing your ticket.

There are no blackout dates, seating or zone restrictions when redeeming your points for an award ticket.

Yes, you will be able to redeem your points for award ticket travel on more than 150 airlines, including major airlines such as American, Delta and United. There are no blackout dates or capacity controls, so you can fly when you want.

Your U.S. Bank Altitude account must be open and in good standing according to your Cardmember Agreement in order to redeem points. Subject to applicable law, any remaining points will be lost when an account is closed. Please call Cardmember Service at 844-357-2015 for inquiries about reopening a U.S. Bank Altitude account.

Yes, your points will be combined if you and your friend/family member share the same U.S. Bank Altitude Rewards Number, which can be found on your credit card statement. Your combined points will be available for redemption in the Rewards Center. If you would like to share the same U.S. Bank Altitude rewards number, please contact Cardmember Service at 844-357-2015.

You can quickly and easily transfer your points to other U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve accounts. Whether you are transferring to a family member, friend or another U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve account you own, just follow the easy steps under the Point Transfer option within the Rewards Center.

Your friend/family member would lose their right to earn or redeem the points and all of the points would remain with you.

When you make a purchase on a prepaid hotel or car reservation with your rewards credit card through the Rewards Travel Center (online/by phone), you will earn 4 bonus points, in addition to the base earn, per each $1 in Net Purchases. 

Bonus points are deposited into the reward account after payment has been processed for a prepaid hotel and/or car reservation. In the Rewards Center under point history, you will see the bonus points that have been awarded. Please allow 1-2 statement billing cycles for your bonus points to appear on your credit card statement.

You will earn 4 additional bonus points over the base earn of your rewards credit card. Bonus points are earned at the component (car or hotel) level and are not calculated based off order total.

For example: Mrs. Ford contacted the Reward Center to reserve a car for holiday travel. She prepaid $100.00 for the car rental using her rewards credit card. An example of her base point earn for each $1 spent in eligible net purchases is 1 point. Therefore, she would be awarded 100 ($100 x 1) points for base earn + 400 ($100 x 4) bonus points for a total of 500 points.

Transfer Points

Yes. Points transfer is simply moving points from one U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve account to another U.S. Bank Reserve Altitude account, if available. Doing so allows you to combine points with friends or family members in order to redeem sooner. You can also transfer points to another U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve account you own if your accounts have different U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve rewards numbers. You can transfer up to 20,000 points per calendar year.

Yes, you can transfer FlexPoints to an Altitude Reserve account once. Additional transfers will not be allowed and transfers are not available from Altitude Reserve to FlexPerks accounts 

You can find your U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve rewards number on your credit card statement.

If you would like to use the same rewards number on all of your U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve rewards accounts, please contact Cardmember Service at 844-357-2015.

Yes, as long as your U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve account and the Reserve account receiving the points are in good standing according to the Cardmember Agreement you can transfer up to 20,000 points per calendar year to other U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve accounts. You can transfer to a family member, a friend or to another U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve account you own.

No, there is no fee to transfer points.

Yes. You must have the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve account number you wish to transfer points to. You can transfer up to 20,000 points per calendar year.

No, points do not expire.

Annual Membership Fee

If you are eligible to redeem Points for your Annual Membership Fee the redemption option will display in the Rewards Center on the Home Page. Click on the link and follow the redemption steps.

If you redeem Points for this redemption option more than 3 business days before your Annual Membership Fee is billed, a credit in the amount of the Annual Membership Fee will be applied on the next business day after the fee is billed on your statement. If you redeem after that, a credit in the amount of the Annual Membership Fee will be applied 7-10 business days after the date of redemption.

Merchandise

You can track your package by clicking on the tracking number link included on your profile page under “Delivery method” or you can call the Rewards Center at 844-357-2015.  

All redemptions are final. However, if your item is damaged, defective, or mis-shipped, please refer to the terms and conditions on the product’s item detail page within the Rewards Center or on the packing slip you received with the item(s).

Event Tickets

No. Currently the only way you can redeem for event tickets is to log in to your Reward Account at usbank.com then visit the Rewards Center. Click the link for “Event Tickets” from the navigational menu. 

You can redeem for sports, concert and theater events across North America. 

No, you will not be able to cancel your order. All redemptions are final.

Real-Time Rewards

It’s a new rewards redemption method that enables you to instantly turn your purchases into rewards. Your mobile device can be used to immediately redeem points in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. 

First, complete a 2-minute registration to set your preferences. Then, after you make a purchase that meets your preferences, and receive a text asking if you want to use points to redeem immediately after the purchase, simply reply ‘REDEEM’ to the message to complete the redemption. You must have enough points to cover the entire purchase in order to receive the text message to redeem. Your points will be deducted from your points balance and redeemed in the form of a credit to your monthly billing statement. See Program Rules for additional details.

 Yes, you may assign a 10-digit U.S. mobile number to your accounts in good standing.

No. You may only assign one 10-digit U.S. mobile number per account. 

The text message is sent at the time of the eligible purchase. You have 24 hours from the time the purchase is made to respond to the text message and redeem points. 

Most gas and restaurant purchases are not available for Real-Time redemption because they are often two-stage authorization processes. For instance, restaurant purchases often have a tip after the initial authorization.

The 4 additional bonus points offer excludes real-time rewards point redemption on hotel and car purchases. You must pay for the prepaid hotel and/or car rental with your rewards credit card.

No, Real-Time Rewards text messages are available only for transactions with U.S. merchants.

You may receive a Real-Time Rewards text message for an auto bill pay transaction if the purchase falls within your preference selections.

The statement credit may be different from your final purchase amount if the transaction included a gratuity, fees or estimated taxes. 

You can opt-out at any time by going online to the Rewards Center or by texting ‘STOP’ to REDEEM (733336) or by calling the Rewards Center at 844-357-2015. After you opt-out, you may still receive text messages for up to 24 hours. Please see Rules for additional details.

The one-time 500 bonus points will be applied to your account within 8-10 weeks after you have completed and confirmed your enrollment for Real Time Rewards. Remember to reply ‘YES’ to the enrollment text message you will receive from REDEEM (733336).

You are eligible to receive the one-time 500 bonus points for each U.S. Bank Altitude Visa card account enrolled in Real Time Rewards. 

No. You will only receive messages for purchases made on your account. However, any redemption made will reduce the overall combined points total.

Point Purchase

Yes. You can call the Rewards Center to purchase additional points for $0.03 for each point. The minimum purchase amount required is 3,000 points and the maximum number of points you may purchase in a calendar year is 60,000.
